EOF was asked to attend the arrest of a girl suspected of bullying another teenager by using her mobile phone.

After being confiscated by the Police the mobile phone was placed into a Faraday Bag to ensure that the data held on the phone wasn't changed by the physical movement of the device. Upon recovery of the phone back to the EOF lab, a live analysis of the phone was made and then the SIM card 'imaged'

EOF were able to recover data on the SIM card that, once reconstructed, produced evidence that the suspect had been sending abusive text messages. These messages were subsequently deleted, the suspect believing them lost forever. The suspect was cautioned.
