Penetration testing is the process of simulating attacks on a network and it’s systems at the request of the owner or senior management.

The ultimate aim of penetration testing is to test and possibly bypass the security controls of a system. Using a set of procedures and tools, it is the examiners goal to measure an organisation’s level of resistance to an attack and expose any weaknesses within the environment. This type of testing allows an organisation to understand the level of effectiveness their security measures have and whether the promises of the security vendors are good.

Emulating the methods and techniques that an attacker would use, End of File Penetration tests are just as creative and resourceful. Our tests examine not only the computing environment but the business premises and procedures used for the accessing the network. End of File is able to offer both Black Box testing, no prior knowledge of the networked environment or White Box testing, full knowledge of the networked environment.
An example of our vulnerability testing covers the following areas:

  • Identification of active hosts on the network
  • Identification of applications and banner grabbing
  • Identification of Operating Systems
  • Identification of misconfigured settings
  • Public exposure of key personnel
  • Physical and Environmental Security

All work is carried out with your business continuity in mind and the integrity of your data maintained.
